Host (Tetsuya Bessho; TB): 今日はですね、北欧デンマークからのお客様、俳優のマッツ・ミケルセンさんです。おはようmorning!
Mads: おはよう*, morning. （*”Good morning” in Japanese）
TB: あはは！ありがとうございます。Thank you so much for joining our show.（番組にご参加いただきありがとうございます）
Mads: Thank you for having me. （お呼びいただきありがとうございます）
TB: Wow, wonderful…!（わーすごい…！）
TB: I’ve heard you met some fans already （あなたはもう何人かのファンと既に会ったと聞きました）
Mads: Yup. （うん）
TB: before you were coming in this building. （この建物に入ってくる前に）
Mads: Yes. I’m fortunate to have some fantastic Japanese fans. Years ago, I was here and I was waring a T-shirt with a number 9 on. Now that the whole group of people have the same T-shirts, and then they wear, when I did a flower crown from fannibals. They called themselves “fannibal.” I see them all over the world, and I’m very..very fortunate.
（えぇ。素晴らしい日本のファンを持てて僕は恵まれてます。何年か前も僕は日本にいて、僕は数字の9が書かれたTシャツを着ていました。今やその人たちのグループ全員が同じTシャツを持ってて、fannibalから頂いた花冠を僕がつけていたら彼らもつけています。彼らはfannnibalって自分たちを呼んでるんです。僕は彼らを世界中で見ていて、僕はとても…とても恵まれている。）
TB: Is this your second time to visit Japan? （今回はあなたの2回目の訪日ですか？）
Mads: Yeah. The first time I didn’t have a chance to see a lot. This time I had a full day off yesterday with a good friend, Kojima.
（えぇ。最初はあまりたくさん見るチャンスがなかった。今回は昨日丸一日のオフをよき友である小島さんと過ごすことができた。※前回は見れなかったと言ってます。Jをhと読むのはモヒートとかと同じ感覚かも）
TB: Where did you go yesterday? （昨日はどちらに行かれたんですか？）
Mads: We were on the river and the canals with a boat. We saw the city from the outside, then we went to his studio, it was a fantastic place, where they are doing a game, Death Stranding, and… after that we went to a secret sushi place I have no idea what it was, but it was fantastic. （僕たちは河と運河で船に乗ってました。外から街を眺めて、そして彼のスタジオに行って、そこは素晴らしい場所でした。彼らはDeath Strandingというゲームを作っていて、そして…その後、僕たちは秘密の寿司屋さんに行きました。その場所が何かは分かりませんが、素晴らしかったです。）

TB: I’ve heard you’re a Japanophile, so to speak. You like Japan. （あなたはいうなれば日本びいきと聞きました。日本がおすきなんですね。）
Mads: I LOVE it. I mean I love the people, I love the food, and now I get to see the city a little more, which seems to me very, very charming. （[好きlikeじゃなくて]大好きです。その国の人々も、食べ物も、そして今や僕はその街についてもう少し知ることができた。僕にとってとても、とても魅力的charmingです）
TB: I’ve heard you were a dancer. You are still a dancer as well? （あなたはダンサーだったと伺いました。あなたは今でもまだダンサーでもあるんですか？）
Mads: No, those days are over (laugh). （いいえ。その日々は終わりました 笑）
TB: You were? （過去にはダンサーだったんですよね？）
Mads: Yes, yes. I was a gymnast when I was a boy. Then I got a job in a musical and I learned how to dance. （えぇ、えぇ。僕は少年だった時は体操選手でした。で、ミュージカルの仕事を得て、ダンスの踊り方を学んだんです）
TB: When was it? How old were you? （それはいつですか？何歳だった時？）
Mads: Eighteen? （18かな？）
Mads: And then I worked as a dancer for ten years. （そして、ダンサーとして10年間働きました）
TB: You started as a dancer. Was the career as a ballet dancer, or a jass dancer, or modern..?（ダンサーとして始められたんですね。あなたのキャリアはバレエダンサーとしてのものでしたか、それともジャズダンサー？モダン…？）
Mads: All of them. Musical is obviously.. jazz, and then I studied a lot of ballet, but I performed contemporary one. （全部です。ミュージカルはもちろん…ジャズ、そしてたくさんのバレエを勉強しました。でも演じたのはコンテンポラリーなものだった）
Mads: はい（*”Yes” in Japanese）
TB: You received the Best Actor at the Cannes film festival. Congratulations. （あなたはカンヌ映画祭で男優賞を取られましたよね。おめでとうございます。）
Mads: Thank you so much. （ありがとうございます）
TB: And also you were a jury as well. （そしてまた、あなたは判定員もした。）
Mads: Yeah (laugh). （そうですね）
TB: How was it? I think it is tough to judge others. （それはどうでしたか？僕は他人を判定するって大変だと思う。）
Mads: It is actually… I don’t know. I mean it’s sill honour to be jury, but it is also very tough to make a competition between pieces of art. As you already said, it is impossible to judge, and it was very, very difficult. （それは実際…なんだろう。判定員であることは栄誉ではあるんだけど、それはまた大変でもあるんだ、芸術の作品たちの間で優劣を決めるのは。あなたももう言ったように、決めるということは不可能で、それはとても、とても難しいことだった）
TB: Some of the listers asked you the same question: Do you live in Hollywood in the U.S. now, or not? （リスナーの何人かはあなたに同じ質問をしています。「あなたは今アメリカのハリウッドに住んでますか？違いますか？」）
Mads: No, I live in Copenhagen. It is my base. Actually, every Hollywood film I have made has been filmed in Europe. （いいえ。僕はコペンハーゲンに住んでいます。そこは僕の拠点です。実際、僕が作ったハリウッド映画はどれも欧州で撮影されてるんだ）
Mads: If I moved there, my family would’ve been sitting in LA while I’m working in Rumania. （もし僕がハリウッドに引っ越していたなら、僕がルーマニアで仕事をしてるあいだ僕の家族はLAで座ってることになってただろうね）
TB: You are from Denmark. （あなたはデンマーク出身ですよね）
Mads: Yes. （えぇ）
TB: Of course you speak Danish as well. How do you call “Good morning” in Danish? （もちろんあなたはデンマーク語を話しますよね。デンマーク語では「おはよう」ってどう言うんですか？）
Mads: God morgen. （グモン）
TB: God morgen. （グモン）
Mads: Yup, perfect. Very good. （そう、完璧。かなりいい。）
TB: Thank you. （ありがとうございます）
Mads: Danish is very lazy language. You just relax and just say a little sloppy. （デンマーク語はかなりだらけた言語です。ただリラックスしてちょっとだらっと話すだけです）
TB: God morgen. （グモン）
Mads: Perfect. （完璧）
TB: Hvordan går det?（How are you?/ご機嫌いかがですか？）
Mads: Oh, perfect. You’ve got half-Danish! Deet går godt. （おぉ、完璧。半ばデンマーク人です。Deet går godt.）
TB: Dekoko? What does it mean in English? （デココ？英語でどう言う意味ですか？）
Mads: “It goes very well.” （とてもうまくいっている、です）
TB: Oh, thank you very much. （おぉ、ありがとうございます）
TB: Jeg hedder Tetsuya Bessho. （I am Tetsuya Bessho. 僕は別所哲也です）
Mads: Yup. And then, to say it seriously, “HEDDER,” and then to be lazy, say it “hedder.” （えぇ。そしてそれを真面目に言うなら「ヘダー」、そしててきとうに言うなら「へた」）
TB: Hedder. （へた）
Mads: Yes, lazy and easy to say. （えぇ。だるっと言いやすい感じで）
TB: Talking about the movie, Doctor Strange. How long did it take to shoot? （映画『ドクター・ストレンジ』についてですが、撮影にどのくらいかかりましたか？）
Mads: I think for me it was about five or six months. They said, so you can see there’re a lot of special effects, a lot of actions, and a lot of scenes. （僕の場合は5ヶ月か6ヶ月だったと思う。彼らが言うには、それでたくさんの特殊効果、たくさんのアクション、たくさんのシーンが見れるようにって）
TB: And where? （どこで撮ったんですか？）
Mads: I was shooting most of the time in London. （ほとんどをロンドンで撮影しました）
Mads: A little in NY and then went to Kathmandu as well, and a few other places. （NYで少し撮って、そしてカトマンズにも行って、その他いくつか他の場所でも）
TB: Would you tell me a little more about your role, your character? （あなたの役、あなたのキャラについてもう少し教えて頂けますか？）
Mads: Kaecilius is one of the students of Kama Taj, which is to say… a place that collects broken things, broken people and heal them. And somewhere down the line, he wants to make the world a better place, but the way he wants to do it is not necessarily the way our hero wants to do it. （カエシリウスはカーマ・タージの学徒の一人で。カーマ・タージとは言うなれば…壊れたもの、壊れた人々を集めて癒す場所です。そのうち、彼は世界をより良い場所に変えたいと思ったんだけれど、彼がしたいと思った方法は我々のヒーローがしたいと思ったものとは必ずしも一緒ではなかった。）
TB: What part was the most difficult? A part or.. element to act him. （どの部分が一番難しかったですか？部分というか、、彼を演じる要素で）
Mads: In this case, I think we all are very challenged by the physicality of the film. Very few were twenty years old, we are old (laugh), matured people. （今回は、僕たちみんながこの映画の肉体的要素でかなり大変だったと思うよ。ほんの数人だけが20歳で、僕たちは年寄りだ。[年寄りというか]成熟した人たち。）
Mads: But obviously I have been grown up, have been a big fan of the Marvel universe. And my biggest hero when I was a child was Bruce Lee. I had to say “Yes.” I had to do it, play it with a lot of martial arts there. It was fantastic. （でも間違いなく僕はMarvel世界で育って、大ファンだった。そして僕が子供だったときの一番のヒーローはブルース・リーだった。僕は「はい」と言わないといけなかった。僕はそれをしないといけなかった。色んな武術が必要なそれを演じなければならなかった。最高だったよ。）
TB: What is the highlight of this movie from your point of view? Of course many action scenes.. （この映画のハイライトはあなたから見て何でしょうか？もちろんアクションシーンはたくさんあります…）
Mads: Of course the action scenes are fantastic, I mean it. But I think also it’s fantastic to be part of the film that is pushing more in detail. In a sense that.. the comic book was almost like a graphic novel. Something we’ve never put on a film before, and also we couldn’t do it ten years ago, but now I think they’ve achieved it. And when you look it for the first time, I saw it, I was blown away because it’s a psychedellic world, mismatched world, and they achieved that. （もちろんアクションシーンは素晴らしいです、本当に。でも僕は、映画の一部となって詳細が肉薄して感じられることは素晴らしいとも思う。マンガがほとんどグラフィックノベルのようであるのと同じ感じで。僕たちが今まで映画にすることができなかった何か、また、僕たちが10年前にはできなかった何か、それを今や彼らは成し遂げたんだと思う。そして、人がそれを初めて観るとき、僕がそれをみたとき、僕は圧倒されたよ。そこはサイケデリックな世界、不揃いな世界で、彼らはそれを成し遂げたんだから。）
